Steve Culp began playing piano at the age of three. By the time he was twenty-three, he had toured Europe several times and graduated with honors from Arizona State University – BM Jazz Performance. In 1998, Steve graduated once more with honors from University of Miami – MM Jazz Pedagogy. Through the years, Steve has performed with some of the most well-known artists in the world ~ Sister Sledge, Jeff Kashiwa (The Rippingtons), Craig Chaquico (Starship), Brian Bromberg, Marion Meadows, Bobby Caldwell, Mary J. Blige, Natalie Cole, and David Foster among many others. Steve is a vital member and songwriter of Turning Point – an instrumental group that mixes Progressive Jazz, Rock, R&B, Greek and Latin music into a style all their own. The critically acclaimed CD A Thousand Stories was produced by famed bassist Brian Bromberg and released nationally by A440 Music. Turning Point songs can also be heard in consistent rotation on XM Radio’s Watercolors Channel 66.
